JAM III documents one of the early cardistry community gatherings in Mexico City, organized by the ManoSanta collective. The project focused on capturing the emerging creative scene through a visual narrative that highlights movement, interaction, and the collaborative energy between participants. The video reflects the cultural identity of the community while exploring rhythm, motion, and performance as visual storytelling elements.
Responsible for filming and editing the project, focusing on capturing the energy and interaction of the cardistry community through dynamic compositions and movement-driven visuals. The visual direction translated live performance into a cinematic narrative that reflected both technical skill and the collaborative atmosphere, emphasizing timing, performer expression, and the authenticity of the event experience.
The production required adaptive shooting in a live event environment, followed by editing focused on rhythm, pacing, and visual coherence to preserve the authenticity of the performances. This experience strengthened my skills in audiovisual storytelling, cinematography, and post-production workflows while contributing to documenting the growth of an emerging creative community in Mexico City and its collaborative cultural identity.
